How Stress Affects You
Stress may cost you money. Although individual physical and emotional reactions to stress vary, the results are similar. A stress overload can lead to muscle tension, poor rest, digestive and cardiovascular issues, a lowered immune system, poor weight management, fatigue and anxiety.

Investment for a Healthy Business
A growing number of forward-thinking companies make prevention an integral part of their health philosophy. The most costly health conditions for businesses (i.e., heart conditions, hypertension, diabetes and low back problems) could, in many cases, be improved or even prevented by implementing healthy lifestyle changes. Today, such benefits are no longer limited to healthcare policies and retirement plans.
Our Mission
Our goal is to educate and inspire employees on how to implement healthy habits at work in order to prevent physical and mental stress, based on nutritional counseling, corrective exercise and stretching.
Our Clients
The Body Doctors have been providing on-site stress management programs for employees in workplaces such as Health Allies, Universal Pictures, Fox Studios, Dreamworks, gym facilities, Cedar Sinai, LA Children's Hospital, private parties, ACX, insurance, financial companies, design studios, health food stores, golf and tennis tournaments and various other events.
Programs
Corrective Exercise
Corrective Exercise is based on the simple fact that muscles work in pairs. Having muscle imbalances can cause a series of compensation patterns leading to stress and pain (i.e, back and neck pain, TMJ, shoulder pain, instability,etc.). The therapist will teach better movement habits and specific exercises and stretches to correct body alignment, and counteract the effects of plain sitting and gravity.
Ergonomic Recommendations and Injury Prevention
As our society becomes increasingly mechanized, more and more people are suffering from repetitive strain injuries. From debilitating carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis, to the chronic neck or low back pain that everyone who works at a computer takes for granted, we are all showing the effects. Ergonomics is about moving in a more efficient manner and creating a better support around the workstation but also recognize and modify the way employees sit to assess areas of tension.
Therapeutic Stretching
Stretching can reduce the risk of muscle strain, join sprain, muscle soreness and tension, optimize physical performance, promote body awareness and lower the risk of back problems. We will explain what form of stretching to use and not to use. Short stretching routines will be performed to fit in your work schedule (workstation, conference room, or outdoor), according to the physical issues you may be experiencing (i.e., CTS, tendonitis, lower back issues, headaches, etc).
Workshops
Designed to promote healthier habits for your employees so they can improve their lives and their productivity. Stress reduction and better lifestyle choices can make a difference on how they feel and perform. Workshops will be covering topics on wellness, fitness and nutrition such as weight management, nutritional labels, healthy snacks, sugars, stress and the immune, pain management, injury prevention, eyestrain, headaches, posture, how to stay fit while sitting, etc. Workshops can be held at your office, health fair or holiday events. Sessions' length can be customized to your company's specific requirements.
